THE BOOK OF DREAM PEOPLE

PROTECTION FOR CHILDREN

"THE BOOK OF DREAMS" uses the short story format to compile and reflect on the principles included in the ECPAT Code, the Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism, a joint initiative launched by the World Tourism Organisation, UNICEF AND ECPAT International.

This short story is a celebration of childhood, the time in our lives when any dream is possible. Yet there are millions of children who are robbed of the time to be children; they are deprived of their childhood and discover far too soon things that they should never have to know.

The story was written by the famous Spanish children’s and young persons’ writer Begoña Oro, who, over 16 pages filled with illustrations and interactive texts, encourages readers to discover the values of childhood. The book ends with a final message and presentation of the ECPAT principles by Antonio Banderas.
