The Iberostar Group began its activity in the tourist sector in 1930, and is now a corporate group with a human resources team of more than 23,000 professional employees operating in 19 countries.

Due to this international growth that the Iberostar Group has achieved in recent years, we are convinced that our work must include a firm commitment to social and human development, due largely to our everyday contact with the needs of developing countries and their people.

For this reason, the Iberostar Foundation was founded in May 2004, as a non-profit making organisation with the main aims of providing social welfare and cooperation for development in Spain and Latin America.
