The Iberostar Group began its activity in the tourist sector in 1930, and is now a Company that has a workforce of more than 21,000 professional employees operating in 18 countries.

Due to the international growth that the Iberostar Group has made in recent years, we are convinced that our work should also include a firm commitment to social and human development, moved largely by our day to day contact with the needs of developing countries and their people.

For this reason, the Iberostar Foundation was founded in May 2004, as a non-profit making organization with the main aims of providing social action and cooperation for development in Spain and Latin America.
